Getting started on the right paw!
We believe that in order to achieve the ultimate relationship you must have good communication and leadership skills with your dog. We will help you and the dog understand each other so you can be successful in everything you do!  This class will cover:
  • The essential skills of leadership – How to properly communicate with your dog in the way he/she understands. Learn how to be a fair and confident leader, building a bonding relationship by setting your dog up for success.
  • Attention (focus) – Teaching your dog pay attention to you even in distracting environments
  • Leash manners – Keep a loose leash at all times – no pulling, lunging, etc.
  • Control – Eliminate unwanted behaviors such as dashing out of the door, mouthing, barking, jumping, etc.
  • Basic Commands – sit, stay, down, stand, leave it, heel, Come on Command
This class will show you many fun ways to train your dog. We believe class should be fun for both the dogs and the handlers! Our goal at Elk River K9 is to help you get the best results possible from our classes.

Remember…. Training your dog is a small investment of time that ensures large payouts and long term effects.  You owe it to your dog to be the best trainer possible!
